Parent Information

PARENTS AS PARTNERS or PARENT PROGRAMS

Ringarooma Primary School enjoys an active partnership between all members of the school community. Parent help in classrooms is strongly encouraged and is a highlight of parents’ involvement in our school. Volunteer parents also regularly assist with excursions, sports coaching, small group tuition, Breakfast Club, Canteen, Ringarooma Show and fundraising events.

All volunteers working in the school are required to have a current Working With Vulnerable People registration. Please click here for further information or contact the school office on 6353 2271

SCHOOL ASSOCIATION

The School Association meets once a term throughout the year to discuss school priorities, policies and future directions. An Executive Committee is elected however all parents are welcome to attend meetings. Information is sent out regularly through the newsletter.

OUR SCHOOL ASSOCIATION:

  • aims to provide a forum to promote communication and co-operation between the school and the community
  • participates in the formulation and development of our beliefs, values, priorities and policies for the school
  • assists in providing funding for additional resources for our students through fundraising activities

CANTEEN

The canteen is run with parent volunteers on Fridays each week. Whether students purchase from the canteen or not , we ask that students bring healthy items for recess and lunch from home. Water in drink bottles is the preferred drink for students.

RINGAROOMA SHOW

We have a very active Show Committee operating under the School Association banner which organizes the annual Ringarooma School and District Show fundraiser in early November each year. This is a coming together of our school and surrounding community with many and varied agricultural displays along with local crafts, plant stall, flower show, cooking plus much more. Student work is also on display. There are free rides and entertainment for all, barbecue plus assorted food stalls and vans.
